Celebrations will continue, on zoom, tiktok, and other social media to help keep people connected and celebrating. This year sees organisers preferring to hold their Pride Month events virtually. It is usually celebrated with lots of colourful parades and marches but following the coronavirus pandemic and with social distancing still being in place, many events have had to be cancelled or postponed until later on in the year. It is about people coming together in love and friendship, to show how far gay rights have come, even if in some places in the world there is still work to be done. June is known as Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ communities around the world.
